Air Quality

Dear WIndsor Preschool Families:


Sonoma County is currently experiencing diminished air quality due to the Woodside Fire in the far northwestern corner of the county. While the fire itself presents no danger to WIndsor, the air quality from the smoke is extremely poor. As of the writing, it is designated 184 or “Unhealthy” on the EPA’s AirNow monitoring site. (See full chart of categories below). 


Preschool will be open today, however due to the air quality and heat there will be no outdoor activities or play occurring today. Students will be kept in their classrooms to the greatest extent possible. Our preschools, being some of the newest buildings in the District, are equipped with state of the art HVAC systems with excellent filtration. 


If you choose to keep your child home today, please inform our office as soon as possible. We will continue monitoring conditions throughout the day, and if anything changes we will inform you immediately. Your children’s health and safety is always our top priority.
